With over 20 years of real time motorsport involvement as a successful rally driver in the national rally championship and later on as team manager and technical directer for top teams in India Philippos Matthai commenced Speed Sport operations in late 2008. Since then Speed Sport has become a name to reckon with in Northern India. Having won numerous rally raids, autocross and sprint events working with various teams & drivers.
During his stint as a rally driver for MRF Tyres a young Philippos worked in tandem with the best in the business in engine, suspension and vehicle electronics globally. As a petrol head himself he started working on his own cars which did well at local events.
In 2012 Philippos was roped in by auto manufacturing giants Mahindra & Mahindra to put together a team, strategise and implement Mahindra's Indian motorsport ambitions in the Indian National Rally Championship and Cross Country Rally - Raid Circuit with their newly
launched XUV 500, 4 years on Mahindra & Mahindra have 4 national rally championship titles, 4 Cross Country Rally - Raid victories to its credit.
2019 saw the Mahindra Xuv 300s being brought in to rally from the manufacturer and Philippos was spear headed the commisioning of the vehicle in FMSCI version of the FIA R3T spec Xuv 300 petrol . Also clocked many miles of development and testing the new vehicle.
Also as development driver for the Mahindra Adventure Team , Philippos Finished on the podium in multiple Rally Raid events.
Philippos has also been actively involved in driver development for various forms of rally racing.

2019 also saw us enter the Indian Autocross Championship where we won the regional round in delhi and then won the grand finals in Vijaywada , Andhra Pradesh. Making us Open / Unrestrictred Category National Champions 2019.
